Yesterday, Huiwen from Nuffnang called me to notify that i had won myself a complimentary pass to Nike Human Race 10K..! hahas. One of the 10 lucky Nuffnangers. ;D
After which i had to register and the charity i chose to donate/help out was the UN Refugee Agency. UNHCR's
ninemillion.org campaign is committed to giving refugee children the chance to learn and play. Your donations help vulnerable children get the education to support themselves for a lifetime.
The other 2 organisations are the WWF and Lance Armstrong Foundation.
And for those runners who are participating in this worldwide event, below is an article from Nike.
Determine Your Foot Type
Each individual's foot varies and it is hence important to select the right footwear. If you are unsure what foot type you have, we have just the right advice here for you on determining what foot type you are.
Do a Wet Foot TestStep 1: Requirements for a Wet Foot Test: a wet foot and one piece of cardboard.
Step 2: Wet either of your foot. Take three successive steps on a normal group. Make your fourth step onto the cardboard. An impression of your foot will be made on the water on the cardboard, known as footprint. Compare your footprint on the cardboard to see if you have a flat foot or a normal foot.

| Neutral/ Normal (High or Normal Arch): Most runners in this category do not need specific stability features in their running shoes. In fact, research shows that allowing the foot to move naturally enhances body resistance to injury |
Shoe Features Required: Cushioning to soften the impact for comfortable protection underfoot.
Nike Shoes recommended: Air Zoom Vomero, Air Max Moto, Air Pegasus
 |
| Flat Footed (Low Arch): This group of runners need specific shoes to correct over-pronation and support the foot's natural movement with some added stability. |
Shoe Features Required: Stability
Nike Shoe recommended: Air Span, Air Equalon, Air Structure Triax
Some runners also prefer lightweight shoes to help them deliver a faster ride by reducing the weight.
Nike Shoes recommended: Nike Free Everyday, Nike Zoom Skylon, Air Zoom Elite
